Pentagon says it has stopped using Anthropic's Claude

A month after its own deadline, the Defense Department tells the BBC it "has ceased the use of Anthropic products", including inside Palantir's Maven Smart System.

Hegseth had set a six-month phase-out on February 27, ending in late August. Maven Smart System is the Palantir-run platform the Pentagon uses to organize intelligence and other data, and analysts said removing Claude from it was difficult. Anthropic’s lawsuits against the designation are still pending.
